Roots of Rope - Vitale

This workshop focuses on building a strong foundation on rope for the beginner/intermediate aerialist. You will learn fundamentals including toe climb, foot and hip locks, and momentum principals that you can carry through your rope (and fabric!) practice. These skills will be put into a final sequence, perfect for showing off on social media!

This is a 3 part series that will meet F-Su from 3-4:30p. You must be available for all lessons in the series.

Prerequisites: Comfortable with basic/French and Russian climbs (10+ feet). Able to tie foot locks in the air. Able to invert from the ground without a spot. Able to hold a 30 second straight arm hang.

McKinley Vitale is an Atlanta based aerial instructor and performer. Her life's passion is to create a safe environment for the education and creation of unique movement art. She has performed in local and national shows including LoopsEnd, by Paper Doll Militia, Barnum, presented by the Atlanta Lyric Theatre; and Exposed, which she co-directed and co-produced. When performing, she likes to explore themes involving tension, struggle, and fear.
