DESCRIPTION
In this 4-week series we will build a 3-4 minute sequence on silks. Once comfortable with the choreography, students will be given freedom to make it their own and try it out with music.
PREREQUISITES
This workshop is ideal for the advanced silks fundamentals student. Must be able to execute multiple inversions in the air throughout a 60 minute class, and comfortable staying in the air for a couple minutes at a time.

BIO
Julia trained classical ballet and pointe at Salisbury Academy of Dance and Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre in Maryland from a young age. Her dedication to the art led her to East Carolina University, where she earned her BFA in dance performance. This lifelong passion for movement reached new heights when she first came across aerial arts in 2015. Julia trains on lyra and rope, but her first love was silks. While in Charlotte, Julia has performed with a many of dance and entertainment companies, including Kinetic Works, THE MARK, and Taproot CLT performing arts ensemble. She took part in Charlotte Hornets’ halftimes as a Hive Flyer company aerialist and she has graced the stages of festivals including Loose Leaves, BOOM Charlotte, Charlotte Dance Festival, Charlotte New Music Festival, Bloom, Asheville Fringe Arts Festival, LadyfestCLT, Scarowinds, and Carolina Renaissance Festival. Julia is eager to share her love of choreography and performance with her students at AerialCLT.
