Lyra - Fundamentals

In Lyra class, you will learn how to mount, flip, pose, and bend on the aerial hoop. The Lyra is a beautiful apparatus that lends itself to amazing performances. However, don't be fooled by the professionals! It comes with its fair share of trials, tribulations, and bruises! You will surely be rewarded for your hard work on the hoop, though. NO PULL UP REQUIRED - beginners should definitely consider starting their aerial training in hoop class.

Classes are offered every day of the week between both of our locations. Please review the schedule carefully to make sure you are attending the right location. You can even sort the calendar by your preferred location. Click the gear button to sort by location.

Our drop-in classes are 100% beginner friendly. All Fundamentals level classes are mixed level which means you move at your own pace, not the pace of the class. We have a set curriculum that we guide every student through to give everyone a solid foundation and understanding of the basics.

5 Things to Expect in Your First Aerial Class.
Prerequisites None. Not even a pull up. These classes are perfect for beginners and first timers. Ages 15+ If under 18, parent/guardian waiver must be signed prior to participation. What to wear Snug fitting clothes that cover the backs of your knees and midriff. You *may* be going upside down, so make sure everything is tucked safely into place (If clothing is not appropriate, participation will not be permitted due to safety.) The fabric looks comfy, but can easily burn your skin. Men, here is some clothing help for you. Pre-existing conditions and injuries Anyone is welcome to try classes no matter your weight, size, or ability. We want everyone who has the desire to try aerial to visit us. But we also want to be transparent—we have a responsibility for the safety and health of our students. We hang from wrists, elbows and shoulders a lot. Any pre-existing injuries or conditions can be exacerbated and lead to long-term damage because connective tissue can be fragile. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, please carefully consider whether aerial is right for you.
